Novak Djokovic beats Victor Troicki at Miami Masters
World number one Novak Djokovic secured his place in round four of the Miami Masters with a 6-3 6-4 win over fellow Serb Victor Troicki.
The top seed needed only 85 minutes to secure victory but had to save seven break points on his way to the last 16.
Djokovic will play Richard Gasquetfor a place in the quarter-finals after the Frenchman's win over Albert Ramos.
In the women's draw former world number one Serena Williamsprogressed with a 7-5 6-3 win over sixth seed Sam Stosur.
Williams, who has won the Miami tournament five times, reached the quarter-finals for the 11th time in 12 appearances.
She won 85% of her first serve points and fired 20 aces past the Australian, as she gained revenge for defeat in the 2011 US Open final.
"Every match for me is a joy to win," said Williams. "Every time I go out there and win it's good for me. I like it and I enjoy it. It makes me really happy."
The 30-year-old will meet the winner of the match between fourth seed Caroline Wozniacki and number 23 seed Yanina Wickmayer, in the last eight.
Elsewhere, second seed Maria Sharapovabeat Ekaterina Makarova 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to set up a meeting with Li Na, who got past Sabine Lasicki 3-6 6-4 6-2.
Marion Bartolineeded only 66 minutes to dispatch Maria Kirilenko 6-1 6-2.
